Miss Kitty
Kitty Balay Genge has spent a lifetime in music and theater. She earned a BA from Brown University, and an MFA in Acting from UC-Irvine. As a professional actress, Kitty worked in many theaters in California and appeared as Patsy Cline at the Utah Shakespearean Festival. She is best known locally as a long-time Resident Actor at PCPA Theaterfest where she has appeared in more than 50 productions, such as CURTAINS, WHITE CHRISTMAS, and THE MUSIC MAN. She played the title roles in HELLO, DOLLY!, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, and ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE. She currently teaches Acting at PCPA Theaterfest. She is a member of Actor's Equity League, Chorister's Guild and is a Registered Music Together® Teacher. She is a Brownie Scout leader, active in the PTA, and is also, most importantly, the mother of David, Andrew and Lucy. |

Melissa Newby
Melissa
Melissa Newby is a violinist and singer who has been teaching Suzuki Violin lessons since January of 2003. In June 2010 she received her BA in Music from Thomas Edison State College. She is a member of the San Luis Obispo Symphony and Vocal Arts Ensemble, and is active in the music community. Her love of very young children led her to Music Together. She has a passion for music and for training the young people of our community - to teach and inspire them to have a passion for and ability in music. |
